Our project is the start-up of a new PreK-12 International Baccalaureate School in the city of Panama. HEG was hired by our group to carry out the Feasibility Study and Business Plan, which included the analysis of local market conditions to set up the school, analysis of market demand based on the study's results, financial projections of the entire operation for a 10-year period, plus all activities required to prepare the new school for operation. The feasibility study included guidance regarding our school's mission and vision statements, educational philosophy, as well as human resource requirements, organizational structure, etc. The final deliverable was a very complete and professionall prepared report that covered all aspects of new school development requirements, which was at an extremely high level of quality for presentation to banks, investors, and others required for the implementation phase of the project. Our group was very pleased with the professionalism of HEG’s consultants and the quality of the work delivered. The feasibility study stage required their team to travel to Panama twice – where we had very productive work sessions. We feel that the investment was definitely worthwhile as we were able to receive guidance and advice from experts in the field, including people who have started-up and owned their own schools. The end-product received from HEG has been very valuable to our group. The feasibility study and business plan developed provided us additional credibility from experts in the field, given HEG’s extensive experience with top quality schools internationally. In a nutshell, when we sit down to present our project to financial advisors and land developers, and they review our Business Plan, they immediately conclude that we have done our homework, and thus our project has moved forward swiftly. We are now at the Project Implementation Phase and finalizing financial arrangements to proceed with school formation activities, including retaining HEG as our advisor for the implementation stage. I would definitely recommend HEG without hesitation. Harbert Hills Academy retained Doug Halladay, of Halladay Education Group, to assist us with developing a five year strategic plan. Mr. Halladay met on site with us on three different occasions over a period of four months. During these sessions Mr. Halladay led us through the process of determining where we were and where we wanted to be and then assisted us with developing appropriate goals, objectives, and actions plans. Thank you for delivering the recent board governance workshop and school evaluation for ISU. The Board appreciated your insights based on experience at other schools, and was impressed by how quickly you came to grips with our particular situation. I have no doubt this was helped by the online surveys and other preparation you did in advance of the workshop. Your ability to build trust with all the stakeholders in our school -- from administration and staff, to parents and board members - was essential in teasing out the constraints and opportunities we face going forward.
